Janeen, Kevin, and Writing
I was moving ahead with the first draft of Watching Hazel last January and I see I posted to this blog on January 16 and everything was just fine. The next day, my world changed when I heard that my friend, Janeen, suddenly died in her sleep. I'd spent a lot of time with her during the previous year and felt very close to her and her family, including her husband, Kevin.
Call me too emotional or whatever, but my writing ended right then, and I'm still trying to get back into the flow. I need to jumpstart my writing so I'll be able to make progress and complete my goals. To do this I've decided to participate in March Madness over at Forward Motion.
Today Kevin came by my office to visit, and we started looking at photographs I'd taken of him and Janeen last year. I'm going to burn them to a CD and give them to him before he leaves town again in two weeks.
