Taking Stock of Now
Well, right now I feel my time is being siphoned off into my business interests. That's not all bad. Part of what I do for business is article writing. Naturally I love that part of it.I'm a webdesigner - and am happy to say I've had a few customers lately. Between the times I have to hurry to get their projects done I've been writing business plans - I like to do that every March. This year I decided to write a plan for each of my website ventures. I have 15 websites and 13 weblogs right now. I love working on them. Some of the websites aren't developed yet but that will come with time.
Meanwhile I'm trying to keep up with critiques on children's literature. I want to concentrate my efforts on two of my projects: The Scribe of Irohila and Ciara and the Faeries. Getting them revised this year is a priority.
Novel writing is at a stand-still. Though I want to write Perfection, I'm determined to do it well, and that means more research first. Right now I'm reading history books about early San Francisco. I'll probably keep doing this all year. I intended to move faster on this but I am the slowest reader ever, I think. Well, in the meantime I have other novels to revise so the writing of this one can wait until I'm sure I'm ready.
For NaNoWriMo this year I'm considering another middle grade adventure or fantasy. We'll see. I definitely intend to participate again.
