The Happy Camp Nature Lovers Association
I'm thinking of using The Happy Camp Nature Lovers Association as the working title of my next novel manuscript.I like titles that are descriptive, bordering on the absurd. Not all my titles qualify, but a few do... like the ones I used for my last two NaNoWriMo novels: A Curious Woman Wants To Know (redundant, I know)... and Far Out: The Journey To Oblivion.
This morning I started plotting for the new NaNoWriMo novel. It is going to be about an independent woman seeking solitude and adventure in the wilderness near Happy Camp. (Happy Camp is the name of the town I live in - it isn't a campground, though it sounds like one.)
This one will be fun to write so long as I don't tear my hair out trying to figure out what one woman in the wilderness talks about and does all day long. Of course I have some exciting adventures planned for her, but in the meantime the challenge of creating one-person dialogue will surely trip me up sooner or later.
I've got a brief summary done, some character development, and a theme idea. Pretty good for one morning's work.
