Patricia Reilly Giff
I frequent message boards where we talk about books. Someone mentioned Patricia Reilly Giff's name and I couldn't remember what I'd read by her, so I looked her up on the web:http://www.randomhouse.com/teachers/authors/giff.html
I read her Newbery honor book, Lily's Crossing, about a girl who lived in the states during WW2. Great book! I love her writer's advice and encouragement on that web page:
"...anyone who has problems or worries, anyone who laughs and cries, anyone who feels can write. It's only talking on paper...talking about the things that matter to us."Thanks for that!
