Haiku
The most recent subject for our Forward Motion Haiku Challenge is "people". Here's how I handled it:A Gardener:
Roses to be pruned
Grass cuttings piled sky-high
His work, never done
A Doctor:
Listening to hearts
Giving medicine to some
He hopes for good news
A Mother:
Young ones at her side
She combs their hairs gently back
Their faces are bright
A Crowd:
Push, shove, go someplace
Massive human discontent
Let us out of here
In Solitude:
Write, think, enjoy
Time gently moves forward now
I've got room to live
People In General:
They all live under
The same wild, dizzy sun
Revolving in space
Baby:
Sucking for fluid
Nurtured, loved, young life responds
Not much else matters
Child:
She needs attention
As a flower needs sunshine
She will let you know
Myself:
Sit and write, woman
See that image in your mind
Transfer it to ink
Believers:
Thinking belief thoughts
They dance in humble spirit
Comfort on life's road
Unbelievers:
Confident in truth
They see only obvious
Facts their life presents
So far this month - I've written 24 haiku.
