14421
So far I've got 14421 words of background material written for my NaNo-novel. I added 1265 words tonight. There's lots more I want to write. I'm upping my daily word count goal next week in an attempt to get more done, and to warm up for NaNoWriMo.Already I'm trying to show my kids I need more quiet time. They like to stay up late with me and unfortunately they also want to talk, talk, talk. Well, that's not compatible with my need to write, write, write. I informed them that in the future after 9 pm I need mommy quiet time. These kids are homeschooled, ages 13 and 14. They can take it. (I'm sorta giving myself a pep-talk here because part of me says I should never ignore my children's need to talk, ever.)

I'll hopefully feel better about it tomorrow. I don't know how I got through the last two NaNoWriMos.
