Forget that!
I was going to read The Renegades of Pern by Anne McCaffrey, but then I turned to the front of the book where there's a note from the author saying I should read the Pern series books in order... so I'll have to backtrack if I want to read through them. I can tell, from what I read so far, that she's a master at what she does.So.. I'll have to chose another fiction title... how about A Long Way From Chicago by Richard Peck?... I've got that here on my desk right now. It was a Newbery Honor Book in 1999.
