I had a great experience reading The Artists Way with my daughter up in the hills at a forest service campground I like to go to there. I've been there many times alone - to write in my journal. Its peaceful and usually completely deserted.

Anyhow, I took my daughter there, buying her a journaling notebook before driving up the hill. We chose a campsite to sit at - no problem there - not one of them had campers! We read from The Artists Way by Julia Cameron and then wrote morning pages in our notebooks.

After getting done we took a hike down the hill towards the creek nearby.

I'm also going through this book with an online writers support group and getting a lot of insight out of it. This is my third time... second group effort.
